Meet The Trainer
Hi, I’m Amaryah Chockley and I grew up in the exotic animal industry, where I gained extensive experience in raising, selling, and caring for a variety of animals! My interest in dog training was sparked in 2017 when I began training my own Service dog as part of my recommended treatment plan.
To prepare for this new venture, I conducted thorough research by attending seminars, listening to podcasts, reading science-based training books, participating in Service dog meetups, and consulting with various experts in the field. As I honed my training skills with my own dogs and began working with other dogs in basic obedience, I also pursued a 4-Year Veterinary Assisting Course. This course included a 1-year veterinary internship, where I acquired valuable skills in medicine, animal handling, and kennel management. While I excelled in this role and gained valuable experience, I ultimately realized that it was not the ideal environment for me.
Since then, I have worked with dogs and owners to provide obedience training for both pets and Service animals, as well as Pet-Sitting. I have a particular focus on trick training and have obtained certification as a Trick Dog Instructor to help dogs and their owners achieve these training objectives. Additionally, I have experience working as a caretaker for newborn Marmoset and Tamarin Monkeys, providing specialized care for these unique animals.
My Mission
At Service Slurpees Unlimited, my mission is to enrich the lives of dogs and their owners through expert training, compassionate care, and tailored services. Have Questions?
Frequently Asked
Questions
What species do you work with?
I have raised, trained, and am capable of caring for a wide variety of animals. I’ve got you covered from all breeds of Dogs and Cats to exotics such as Rodents, Birds, Reptiles, and even Monkeys.
Is an assessment required before I can book official training sessions or prior to pet sitting?
Yes, the assessment is required before any of our training programs can begin because it is the best way for the me to determine the needs of the individual dog-family team and subsequently build the appropriate program. A meet and greet is also required prior to pet sitting so that your pet and I can get to know each other, to take notes and learn required tasks, and to collect keys from you.
Do I really need 6 lessons?
Yes! It would be almost impossible to learn, assimilate, and practice each of the commands and elements of the training in a single session –not to mention extremely exhausting for you and your dog. My experience has shown that most owners require at least 6 lessons to become comfortable with and fluent in the training/communication process.
What if my dog has Behavioral concerns?
I am experienced in handling dogs with both Human and Dog Reactivity, Aggression, and Resource Guarding. However, I do not currently offer training for these behaviors, only management while under my care.
My dog has special training and daily needs, can you customize your programs?
Yes, this is one of the key benefits to choosing Service Slurpees Unlimited. Every dog is viewed as an individual having their own individual challenges and needs. Therefore, each program and service is customized to address the specific needs of you and your pet.
What is your cancellation policy?
In order to receive a refund of your 3% down payment, cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled date.
